Back to Work
Yesterday was my first day back to work. Emma spent the morning with Daddy and the afternoon with Aunt Codi and cousin Ethan. I think she probably had a more fun day than I did...

What Shots?
Emma had her 2 month check up today. Here's a picture of her after getting 4 shots and a yucky oral vaccination...

Yeah, didn't phase her. Cried for 5 minutes, nursed, and went to sleep while blowing bubbles. (do I need to point out that her hair still sticks straight up?) She really is a fantastic baby... once I quit eating chocolate. :(
She weighed in at 10 pounds 4 ounces and 22 1/2 inches, she's gained about 2 pounds and 1 1/2 inches from when she was born. She smiles, talks (well, baby talk), and is starting to hold her head up. Our newest discovery is the ceiling fan. She talked to it for 20 minutes this morning!

Emma's Baby Blessing
We blessed Emma today in our ward. She was so good during the blessing and just about the whole day (I think she got sick of the attention about an hour ago). Bert gave a beautiful blessing and we had many family members and friends who came and participated.
Just a word about the dress she is wearing. My great-grandmother made it sometime around 1906. My grandmother, mother, and myself were all blessed in it not to mention some aunts and cousins. Emma is the first of the 4th generation to wear it and she looked gorgeous, the picture just doesn't do it justice.
Just for kicks, here's a picture of my great-grandma Carlson who made the dress.
