The doll stroller from Aunt Sarah was by far her favorite present. She first thought it was for her and proceeded to sit in it, but once we gave her the baby doll she has been running around the house pushing her doll in the stroller.

Christmas
Here are a few pictures from Christmas, of Emma anyway.

Snow fun
It's been snowing all week, it's the first time it has stuck around for more than a day so Emma finally got to go out and play in it.
The purple marshmallow.
She just stood for several minutes saying "wow, wow.."
Emma and Daddy
And here is a cute one from several weeks ago. I got out her old bouncer when I was babysitting a 2 month old and Emma thought it was a great lounge chair!

Flipper Hands
She is remarkably cheerful and stopped crying about 5 minutes after they got her hands bandaged and gave her a sucker. The worst part is she can't play with her toys very well! She has gotten a little creative and will hit buttons and things with her "flippers," as Bert calls them, and will even use her toes and feet. I anticipate several long walks this week to keep her entertained.

Winter is finally here!
Winter has finally started. We've been enjoying 60 and 70 degree weather until this week. It snowed this week and is now in the 40s and 50s. I've been dreading this because Emma loves to spend time outside and I'm not a fan of the cold. Bert came home early last week and Emma was especially grouchy from being cooped up, so I bundled her up and sent the two of them on a walk. She of course loved it and could care less that is was 50 degrees out. She did look like a purple marshmallow.

As much as I claim to not like the cold, I have to admit there are winter outdoor activities I do like, namely snowboarding and snowshoeing. It has been a long two years since I've done any winter activities mainly due to pregnancy and having a tiny nursing baby. The last time I think I went was a night trip just after I got married, I am way overdue for some winter fun! (if anyone else is itching to go, just let me know...)
I think this picture is from one of my last trips with Heather and Michelle, my usual winter sport buddies.

Halloween
Emma had a surprisingly great time last night! I thought she would hate wearing a costume, but she loved the bumble bee outfit I borrowed from a friend and ran all over the house in it.
She loved daddy's costume as well and laughed hysterically every time he put on his mask.

Daddy and Emma. He loved getting dressed up and scaring the trick or treaters.

The busy bumble bee. The tail waggled when she walked, hysterical!

And every time the doorbell rang she ran straight for the door, she loved seeing all the children in their costumes!

Yup, Halloween was sure fun!
