Kaylie is into climbing lately. Today she climbed into the dishwasher and has attempted to get into the tub and toilet several times.
Her car seat mounts on a swing base, which was great and convenient when she was a newborn. We don't use it much anymore except as a place to keep her seat. Today I walked into her room to find her crazily rocking away in it. She stopped as soon as I got the camera, but you get the idea. (note: I bumped the rocking chair, it is not psychotically rocking itself)
Emma was always too timid to try these feats, I've never had to worry about her. I think I'm going to have my hands full with Kaylie.

Determined
Tuesday morning I was nursing Kaylie in her room, I could hear Emma rummaging around in her room doing something. A few minutes later she came out buck naked carrying her bathing suit and proclaimed, "mommy I want to go swimming!"
Our city community center has a great indoor toddler pool and we had nothing else planned so I told her we could go. She then went into my room, got out the storage box of baby summer clothes, pulled out all four baby bathing suits and demanded I get Kaylie dressed. It took awhile to convince her we couldn't go at 7 am.
This was actually the first time I attempted to take both kids by myself and I think we did rather well. Emma put on a life jacket and splashed around the pool for 45 minutes while Kaylie and I hung out in the shallow end. Our only major hiccups were when I couldn't find Emma in the locker room because she had actually climbed into one of the lockers, and her meltdown in the parking lot when we tried to leave. With Kaylie in one arm I literally had to drag Emma kicking and screaming to the car.
