Birthday for Emma and Bert

While at Bear Lake we celebrated birthdays for Emma and Bert. We did cupcakes and German chocolate cake with the cousins (I need to track down those pictures) and opened presents at the condo afterwards.

Bear Lake Vacation

Our first big vacation for the summer, Bear Lake! We went to my mom's family reunion, there were about 80 cousins and aunts and uncles there. Can't say I ever remembered to get out my camera except for the first day.

We arrived early, before our check in time to the condo, so we played on the beach.

Jacob loved the water. If I had let him, he would have just walked right out to the middle of the lake.

And daddy. Who eventually went swimming in his clothes with the kids (not sure why we didn't go back to the car to get our swim suits).

Emma's Kindergarten Graduation

Emma graduated from kindergarten! She has had so much fun this year, she loves school. She actually cried on her last day of school because she didn't want to leave.

With her class, they had 32 students. There has been so many new homes going up here the class sizes here are crazy.

Congratulations Bert!

Bert graduated this week!  He now has a Master's degree in Chemistry Education. We're so proud and excited to have him home on Saturdays again!

Haircuts

It finally happened. Emma tried to cut her own hair. And Kaylie's hair. Luckily she didn't attempt bangs or anything ridiculously short. But it is short. I took them to a neighbor's house who is a stylist and she gave them cute bobs.

She was quite pleased with herself and promises she won't do it again.... until her hair gets too long. Sigh.
