Graduation!

So first of all, not only did Bert graduate (cum laude!) from the University of Utah today, but he accepted a job offer yesterday to teach chemistry at American Fork High School! So I guess we are staying in Utah for the next little while. We're relieved to have a job lined up so quickly!

She was so good during the whole morning, but we had to break out the stickers at lunch to keep her entertained.

Back in business!

After a three year sabbatical, Robert is back in business! For the summer anyway. He's finally done with school and graduates in a couple weeks. Hooray! So now the plan is to paint in the summers and teach during the school year. So if you know of anyone here in Utah needing a good painter give us a call!

Daddy's little girl

Emma copies everything that Bert does. He was doing an exercise video at home this morning when she got up and she immediately picked up a power band and went to work.


Our conversation the other day:

"Do you want to get out of bed?"
"no"
"Do you want to stay in bed?"
"no"
"Do you want a diaper change?"
"no"
"Do you want to see Daddy?"
"Daddy!!"

Easter Egg Hunt

We didn't do much for Easter this year, but we did take Emma to a ward Easter egg hunt. Of course I forgot my camera so we took pictures after we got home.

Potty Training?

Guess who went poo-poo in the potty! Emma is so proud of herself! She's been obsessed with sitting on the toilet forever and would just sit there and read or play with toilet paper. Finally we're getting somewhere and she made it to the toilet 3 times since Monday! Now we need to work on going number 1.... I am open to suggestions on how to do it, I think we're going to put her in panties this weekend and let her feel what it's like to wet herself. Should be interesting.

And in an effort to get rid of the mullet look, I finally trimmed her hair. Which is really sad 'cause she had beautiful curls in the back that are now non-existent.
